ManHater Of the Month – Labor MP Fiona MacTaggart
As most of you will know, the British government recently proposed that men accused of rape be granted the same anonymity as their accusers. Because feminism does not hurt men, this measure was promptly opposed by feminists in the UK. Chief amongst these opponents is Labor MP Fiona MacTaggart , who apparently believes that accused men should have their names dragged through the mud, be they guilty or otherwise, and took it upon herself to put forward this motion…
“That this House believes that the Government’s proposal to grant anonymity to defendants in rape cases sends a message to juries and rape victims that the victim is not to be believed; fears that this could inhibit the effective prosecution of serial rapists; is further concerned that this will reverse the progress made on the prosecution of rape cases noted in the independent Stern Review; is further concerned that the Government has put forward the proposal without any research, evidence or examination of these issues; and calls on the Government to withdraw its proposal.”
All of which is feminist double speak for “We want women who ruin men’s lives with false accusations to keep doing so, and to keep getting away with it.”
The most glaring lie in MacTaggart’s passage is that the changes would send the message that the victim is not to be believed, and then of course there is the implication that anyone making an accusation is a “victim” as supposed to just an accuser! As for the leader of this gang of PC thugs, MacTaggart doesn’t even belong in politics as she is an affirmative action baby who was elected through a women’s only short list that was later declared illegal!
