Remember the old days when feminists could still get away with claiming that women with power would be less abusive of it and therefore make for a kinder, gentler world? That of course, was before reality came along in the form of women such as Captain Holly Graf.
Graf has been chucked out of her job as captain of the U.S.S Cowpens after a myriad of complaints from her 400 member crew. An investigation by the U.S Navy’s Inspector General found Graf guilty of “cruelty and maltreatment” and of having “repeatedly verbally abused her crew and committed assault”.
The investigation also found that her behavior “exceeded the firm methods needed to succeed or even thrive” and her “harsh language and profanity were rarely followed with any instruction.” So this isn’t just another case of someone “swearing like a sailor”, this is abusive and possibly even criminal behavior. According to another source I looked at, Captain Graf also took part in a drag race using her ship! What are ya, lady, a nineteen year old boy with a speed fetish? Sheesh!
The first thing that flits across the lump of rancid Jell-O sitting inside most feminists’ heads when they hear of this kind of case is that it must be a bunch of disgruntled menz who don’t like having a female Captain, but apparently Graf can’t even spell the word sisterhood…
One woman asserted that when she sought the Captain’s help Graf responded with “Don’t come to me with your problems, you’re a fucking department head!” According to this same woman Graf also told her ”I can’t express how mad you make me without getting violent.”
Another female testified that Graf had once told her and a second officer “You two are fucking unbelievable. I would fire you if I could, but I can’t.”
Graf may not have had the power to fire those two, but the people in charge obviously had the power to boot her ass out the door and it serves the abusive sea-cow right! Indications are that Graf has been an abusive bitch all of her career, and one wonders why she was allowed to rise so high – affirmative action anyone ?

Captain Bligh was a nurturing sort with a caring, sharing way with the cat’o'ninetails and he rose to be Guv of NSW. Then there was Admiral Rickover who brokered no opposition or competition, firing Captains and Lt Cmdrs left and right when he was single-handedly designing and building the US nuke submarine fleet (the Russkies had three design teams working competetively – go figure).
The Navies of the world share a tradition of promoting people well above their capability. Possibly something to do with sea-sickness.
