Harry Reid Villifies Men

On the heels of Democratic pussyman Evan Bayh letting us know what he thinks of men, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has done the same thing by claiming that “Men, when they’re out of work, tend to become abusive”!

The choice of words is important here, Harry knows that, he’s a politician. Notice the absence of the word “some”. The statement is not about a subset of men, but about “men”. I have no doubt that there are some men who tend to become abusive when their self-esteem is being kicked in the teeth by unemployment, but that does not apply to men as a group and hence Reid’s blanket statement is not justified.

Here is the same statement but with some Un-PC modifications…

“Black people, when they’re out of work, tend to sell crack”!

See what I mean? Clearly some black people do tend to sell crack when they are out of work, but as conventionally interpreted the sentence is describing “black people” not “some black people”! That’s all that needs to be done to test these things, just keep the structure while replacing the terms.

With the likes of Obama I would think this was a deliberate vilification of the male sex, but given that this moron once spent several minutes trying to convince us that in the U.S paying tax is “voluntary”, this is probably further evidence of the sawdust between Reid’s ears! Either way, Harry Reid is stating untruths and should be rapped on the knuckles for doing so.

Meathead Harry also stated that women aren’t abusive usually, which of course is true, the problem is in its subtext. In the context of a discussion on gender and violence, said subtext tells us two things, one is that men are usually abusive and the other is that women are rarely violent toward their partners. This of course is balderdash, with most research showing that when an honest definition of DV is used, between 25 and 33 % of victims are men, and when the dishonest, overly broad definition popularized by feminism is used, it’s about 50%.

Being an Antipodean pig I can’t legitimately contact Harry to tell him to shut his big yap, but Americans wishing to do so can go here.
