Michael Flood’s “Respectful Relationships “

respectful relationships cover 50pc

Today I received a comment from someone claiming to be male feminist Michael Flood on my story Feminist Indoctrination 101, which discussed the attempts by Flood and the Victorian government to indoctrinate Victorian schoolboys with feminist theories of domestic violence…

“Michael Flood here. I just wanted to note that the Herald Sun piece misrepresents the report. I hope that your readers will actually look at it. It’s available here:

Cheers,
michael.”

Not having been able to find the report myself I thought I would check out Flood’s link , and have been left  wondering why he decided to shoot himself in the foot by giving me access to such an incriminating piece of work! After all, my claim was that the report and the program issuing from it seemed to be all about portraying the boys as perpetrators and the girls as victims, and rather than refuting my claims the report seems to support them.

I did a search of “Respectful Relationships” for the word “boys” and of the nineteen instances of the word, every single one referred to boys as the perpetrators or possible perpetrators, not a single instance of “boys” mentioned them as victims! When a similar search was done for the word “girls” the result was equally unsurprising – of the twenty six results not a single instance referred to the girls as the perpetrators, only as victims, and a search for “Violence by girls” yielded zero results, as did the phrase “violence against boys”! For something calling itself “Respectful Relationships Education” this report seems to be not so much about respectful relationships between the sexes as it is about protecting the sugar and spice from all those slugs, snails and puppy dog’s tails.

Notice also the gender bias displayed on the cover of the report, a cover which depicts 7 males and 13 females, with most of the large pictures, and all of the pictures where the eye is led to only one figure, being of girls! Let’s face it, with a cover that telegraphs its priorities so loudly, it was really no surprise to find not a single portrayal of The Important Sex as anything other than innocent victims.

The other thing I would like to comment on in regards to this document is this offensive piece of male vilification…

“30.2 per cent of sexually active Year 10 girls and 26.6 per cent
of sexually active Year 12 girls have experienced unwanted sex”

Come on, I want my female readers to tell me that by the age of sixteen, a third of their girlfriends experienced “unwanted sex”! Come on, Piggy’s waiting…No? I didn’t think so. How about the men, is this what your wives and girlfriends have told you high school was like? Unless you grew up on Hell’s doorstep the answer is going to be “No”. I suspect that what they did here was use a very broad definition of “unwanted sex”, eg some clumsy boy kisses you without asking, takes a couple of seconds to let you push him off, and that’s it! You’ve experienced “unwanted sex”! This kind of thing is quite simply what the American left would call hate speech if aimed at anyone other than men and boys, and yes it is aimed at men and boys, after all I don’t think Flood and friends are trying to imply these poor girls were victimized by lesbians!

The report is here, check my claims if you like, or just take piggy’s word for it that Flood, his mates and their report are all full of wallaby shit.
