Karla Giraldo on Monserratte
Karla Giraldo has gone public with her version of what happened with boyfriend Hiram Monserratte and much to the chagrin of psychos like Marcia Pappas and the other howling weasels at New York NOW, she does not paint him as a monster….
Giraldo told the NY Daily News, in an interview apparently given in Spanish – you may remember that it has been mentioned in the past that part of the problem was a misunderstanding arising from Giraldo’s poor English skills- that she has always maintained that the whole thing was an accident and that she wants the order of protection lifted…
“I never asked for an order of protection. Now that the case is over, what is the reason for keeping us separated?” she said.
The writer also points out that…
“She wore a tight black sweater with red trim that accentuated her full figure, blue jeans and knee-high black boots.’
Which seems rather irrelevant except perhaps as a tactic meant to arouse the sense of protectiveness that many males have towards attractive women – “She wore a dirty old sack that made her look like 200 lbs of potatoes.” doesn’t exactly trigger the same mushy “Must protect the cute female!” type of feelings does it?
Giraldo also reveals that the scar is virtually invisible, claiming that it was a very small cut. This seems to me to support the idea that it was indeed an accident – if a man Monserratte’s size slammed some broken glass into your face on purpose do you think all you’d get out of it would be a small cut leaving no scars? No, I don’t think so – if he trips and accidentally hits you with it, that would carry a lot less force than a deliberate blow and is therefore more likely to cause the slight injury suffered by Giraldo.
Giraldo also points out that the medical staff who claim she told them Monserratte attacked her couldn’t properly understand her, presumably because of her poor English, and that the reason the senator drove her to a hospital other than the nearest one was that Giraldo herself didn’t want to go to that hospital as she had “heard terrible things about that place before.“
One of the most troubling aspects of this is the way Giraldo was treated by the cops, whom she claims tricked her into going to the Station and then wouldn’t let her go home until she signed a statement against Monserratte. One has to wonder how many other cases there are wherein the “victim” is in effect coerced into making a complaint…
The sad fact of course, is that even when the truth is out, the mud will stick, and no matter how many times Giraldo says one thing, loons like Marcia Pappas will insist on believing the other – after all, some feminists still insist that “We’ll never really know what happened at Hofstra” despite the video evidence that there was no rape, so what chance does Monserratte stand of coming away clean? None! Indeed, I predict he’ll lose his seat at the next polls, simply because a huge number of people will choose to believe the feminist hype rather than the man and woman involved.

If she doesn’t want to press charges and says it was an accident, then so be it. We have to let people be responsible for their own fate. The only time that people should be questioning a dubious injury is if a parent brings a kid in. If a grown man or woman has an injury that seems suspicious, oh freaking well. If he or she does not want to report it, then just treat it and move on. I am tired of people acting like grown folks don’t have a mouth to talk with and need the intervention of the state when they clearly don’t want it. Plus, like you said, sometimes accidents DO happen.
