Maternal Possessiveness To A Lethal Extreme

judith williamsWe’ve all seen that some divorced women will do anything to keep children away from their dads, and in the case of Judith Williams anything included murder.

Williams wasn’t happy with how much time her 16 year old son was spending with daddy so she drove him out to the appropriately named Mount Diablo, shot him dead and then killed herself.

No pleading insanity here, as she planned the entire thing – she bought the gun, had the family dog put down, wrote a long suicide note then killed the boy and herself. And yet, there are excuses to be had ; her financial problems, the anger over the divorce from the boy’s father and the father’s re-marrying, all these things are brought up in an article suspiciously titled “Mother shooting son: a crime no one saw coming”. One wonders if this would have been the title had the sexes been reversed, after all, most kids killed by one of the parents are killed by the mother so that would have been more of a surprise, unless of course you have bought into the woman good / man bad/ mother sacred bullshit that we get fed on a daily basis.
