Mean Little Girls

Here’s a strange little post. Recently while checking where my traffic was coming from, i was surprised to find a visit coming from a place called Sodahead where a bunch of teen-aged females are discussing why boys don’t like Twilight. How the hell they went from there to Porky’s is beyond me as there is no link on that page to my site, but i did find some of the comments enlightening as to just how widespread everyday misandry is.

Let me get it clear that this isn’t a huge deal, these are fairly mild statements and they are after all teens, but this is an example of  how some girls are buying the feminist propaganda, as well as an example of the unrealistic expectations that are being fed to little girls about love and romance, expectations which of course they will expect to have met by real-life males who won’t live up to the fantasy.

Now here are some of the mean things the little girlies say about their boyfriends and brothers when they aren’t around.

Angelcakes (17 years old ) writes…

“twilight shows how romantic a guy really can and probably should be and at some point maybe some girls are wondering and asking why can’t they’re bf’s be like Edward (Edward Cullen, the hero of the series – handsome, physically powerful and romantic) or any of the other awesome boys from there”

She follows that with this  image…

lemon-boys

… from which i gather that she is comparing real boys to lemons, you know like Edsels or Will Ferrell’s version of Land of the Lost.

Bella writes…

“they dont no what love is in twilight”

Daisy (14 years old)…

“i know this one guy who likes twilight so i guess that they’re not ALL lame but i think that guys don’t appreciate or understand what twilight is about ~love………guys are too immature to know about that stuff so u can’t expect them to understand. ..”

Semi literate Mary tells us that…

“there to stupid to read and ubnoctious to care about the characters”

…and just in case you’re wondering whether or not she got this idea from the media she includes this infamous picture in her post!

boys-are-stupid-poster

Like i said, these are kids so i can’t be too judgmental, but it does make me wonder what kind of women girls growing up with these attitudes will turn out to be. Probably strange, angry little women, much like the immensely talented but also immensely weird believer-in-fairies Tori Amos, who is seen here singing about… a Strange Little Girl.

There is a danger that they will grow up to be the subject of what Doris Lessing, the famous British early feminist author, said at the Edinburgh Book Festival, in August, 2001:

“I find myself increasingly shocked at the unthinking and automatic rubbishing of men which is now so part of our culture that it is hardly even noticed.”

She went on to point out-

“The most stupid, ill-educated and nasty woman can rubbish the nicest, kindest and most intelligent man and no one protests …”

These ill-educated etc women start somewhere, around the age of these girls, and go onwards and downwards.

It is interesting that they have already picked up on the ‘maturity’ issue, which we all know is measured by cup size.

  2. Porky says:

The funny thing is that the feminists claim this is the age at which girls start feeling “oppressed”. Seems more like the age they start being oppressive.

Twlight movie is a very very good movie to watch. i love the whole story plus the actors and actresses are all gorgeous.

  4. Porky says:

That may or may not be, i cant say as ive not seen the movies, but these girls clearly have a problem with boys.
