An Office of Men’s Health in the United States of Misandry? Believe it when you see it.

Some starry-eyed idealists have come up with a bill to form an Office of Men’s Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The “Men and Families Health Care Act of 2009.” has been concocted by Representatives Barron Hill (D-IN) and Tim Murphy (R-PA), in the hope of doing something unheard of in the US – looking after men, as men, not as blacks, not as gays, not even as poor folks, but as males. In other words the kind of single-gender initiative usually reserved for The Important Sex. It’s a great idea but i can’t see this passing, i suspect that with so many lefties in charge now the entire thing will probably be scuttled under cover of the excuse that it’s unconstitutional to provide services to just one sex, providing of course that sex is male. Under a President that saw fit to set up an office for the already over-privileged sex, instead of something for blacks or the poor, i consider this a real test of just how “caring and compassionate” the American Dems are. Lets see if they do the right thing rather than what the feminist constituency wants, but let’s not hold our breath lest we all find ourselves in need of a tombstone. For those men unfortunate enough to be trapped in the United States of Misandry, you may want to contact your politicians to ask them to vote in favor of this bill. This can be done here and they make it easy for you, with a form letter and a list of Reps.
