Abducted- 4 year old Andrew Thompson

Australian woman Melinda Thompson (aka Melinda Stratton), wife of NSW’s Deputy Fire Chief Ken Thompson, has been accused of abducting the couple’s four year old son because she “has lost faith in the Family Court“. Andrew and his mother were last seen in April of 2008 after boarding a Singapore Airlines flight from Sydney to Frankfurt, Germany. Despite an extensive search by both the Australian Federal Police and Interpol the two have not been seen since, and authorities suspect they are most likely in Europe or the United Kingdom.

Melinda Thompson (above) speaks French and German and is known to have been doing research on so-called safe havens. The authorities fear for Andrew’s safety as Melinda has been found by a leading psychiatrist to be suffering from a mental condition which affects her ability to be an effective parent and which the psychiatrist fears may lead her to harm herself or Andrew. The authorities have also stated that Melinda Thompson should not be approached and that anyone with information should instead contact the authorities.
